The former communist countries are cheaper, London, Paris and Scandinavia the most expensive, with the rest of England, Switzerland and Vienna closely following.
So if you want to stretch your budget, stay short (or not) in the expensive area and concentrate your travels in the east.

    eastern europe,
Lithuania, latvia (tho avoid riga) czech republic, hungary, romania (avoid bran castle) bulgaria (great black sea coast, would highly reccomend Varna and a hostel called gregorys hostel) bosnia, slovenia and slovakia.
they are all really cheap, really friendly and really fun, language is very hard to get to grips with but easy enough to get by with pointing, there is not a lot of tourism in many of these places so you kinda feel like your on your own which is really exciting.
